for Grass Valley City Council

Experienced Professional.

Serial Volunteer.

Grass Valley is in a period of transition and faces important decisions about public safety, sustainable growth, affordability, and our relationship with the county and our surrounding communities. We need strong leadership to guide these decisions.

This campaign is grounded in a commitment to thoughtful, steady leadership that listens, collaborates, and plans with care. The goal is to protect what makes Grass Valley special while preparing for the opportunities ahead. It’s about balancing progress with preservation and ensuring that every decision supports a safe, vibrant, and welcoming community.

Key Issues

  • Grass Valley is growing. A sustainable economy means supporting the small businesses and local culture that give our downtown its unique character. It requires striking a careful balance: encouraging the new housing and development needed so future generations can afford to stay here, while preserving the historic small town charm that defines Grass Valley.

  • Public safety begins with getting the fundamentals right. That means maintaining fiscally responsible, well‑supported police and fire departments, and ensuring our parks remain safe, welcoming places for kids (including us big kids) to enjoy.

At the same time, Grass Valley must be ready for the challenges ahead, from wildfire to extreme weather. This includes strengthening participation in Firewise Communities, and supporting the nonprofits and community organizations active in disaster that play a vital role in preparedness and response.

  • Grass Valley needs a housing approach that keeps our community accessible for the people who live and work here. That means creating more affordable options so young people, working families, and long‑time residents aren’t priced out, while still respecting the character of our historic neighborhoods and downtown.

We also need practical, compassionate strategies to support individuals experiencing homelessness. Partnering with local nonprofits and community organizations helps connect people with shelter, services, and long‑term stability, keeping our public spaces safe and welcoming for everyone.
